Lesley is an intelligent, bookish chipmunk girl who was raised by parents who encouraged her away from childish things. She fantasized about being allowed to be let loose on something like the anarchic Saturday morning shows that she knew her friends watched.

When she was living away from home for the first time at university, she secretly applied to be on Industrial Zone and made up a cover story for her parents when she was accepted - they still don't know about her appearance on the show. Later on, she asked her boyfriend Kief to help her recreate the experience in a more private setting with a kit for homemade gunge.

Lesley's name came from one of Iron-K's childhood friends - if she ever finds out he's dead. Her surname came from Lynsey Baxter, specifically her appearance as a distractingly beautiful English teacher in a Harry Enfield sketch.
