Lesley is an intelligent, bookish chipmunk girl who was raised by parents who encouraged her away from childish things. She fantasized about being allowed to be let loose on something like the anarchic Saturday morning shows that she knew her friends watched, with the messy games morphing into a sexual interest later due to their forbidden status. One of her favourite scenes was a video she found online where a raccoon boy called Leslie was in one of the gunge tanks on 
Sat-AM Live, fantasizing about herself being gunged in his place as the host triggered his slimy fate.
When she was living away from home for the first time at university, she secretly applied to be on Industrial Zone and made up a cover story for her parents when she was accepted - they still don't know about her appearance on the show. Later on, she asked her boyfriend 
Kief Grissim to help her recreate the experience in a more private setting with a kit for homemade gunge.
Influences
Lesley's name came from one of Iron-K's childhood friends - if she ever finds out he's dead. Her surname came from Lynsey Baxter, specifically her appearance as a distractingly beautiful English teacher in a Harry Enfield sketch.
