The player is seated in a booth set into the wall, but unlike other gunge machines in the {zshow:iz}, there are no nozzles aimed at them. Instead, a U-shaped channel is aimed down towards them diagonally from the ceiling, with a tank of slime balanced at its top on a bracket hanging from the ceiling. The tank is prevented from tipping over by a pair of rods on the bracket - when time runs out, the rods will retract, letting the tank drop its contents into a funnel and along the channel to splash into the contestant's face.

To stop the tank from tipping, the team have to put weights of various sizes on to a platform to balance it out. The correct weight to put on is given to them through an equation that involves solving clues that resolve to numbers. They have to first work out what their target is, and then find a way of getting to the number using the weights available.
