The Vat was a feature of the Chemical Plant of the {zshow:iz}, and was transplanted to the Storage Wing in the third season. It's a split-level room with two curved sets of stairs leading up to the higher floor about four feet off the ground.

The room's central feature is a large vat of gunge, which has a plastic border made to look like it's spilling over with slime dripping down the outside. A giant valve dominates the back wall, which is sometimes involved in the games played in this room.

Various games are played in this room, often with one player seated on the chair above the vat ready to be dropped in when time runs out. Alternatively, the task can be to search the vat for objects needed for the team to proceed, or to use a pole to tip over tanks that are suspended overhead to try to find things in them.
