{zchardetails:cleo} Cleo grew up wanting to be an actor, and spent a lot of her school years with a theatre group. In college she applied for various small parts and game show appearances to experiment with being in front of a camera, secretly hoping (but not expecting) that she would end up on {zshow:iz}. She did, and she was put on the first episode of the second season along with {zchar:gwen}, {zchar:electra} and {zchar:rachel}. She was the first of the group to be gunged, after her team failed to help her deactivate [[izgames:the Pod]]. When she was 21, a couple of years after her Industrial Zone appearance, she appeared as a model in a short series of adverts for Petite, an underwear and lingerie line specializing for smaller furries. She has a secretive personality and doesn't show her feelings often, but her husband {zchar:Miles} has learned several "tells" or habits that he can use to discern her mood. Cleo's first true big break in acting came when she landed the part of Amanda, a villainous character in the long-running soap {zshow:GoldenYears}, and her performance quickly brought the character front and centre. A couple of years later she got her first film contract, and she and Miles were invited to appear on {zshow:fnp}. Here, the production team referenced her television debut on Industrial Zone and used it as a way to introduce their own new gunge tank - a move that Cleo had half expected, but she was surprised at how elaborate the setup was. After sliming her in it, the Friday Night Party producers would make it a regular fixture of the show. ==== Influences ==== Cleo's appearance is based heavily on {zchar:Sally}, from whom she also gets her last name - her first name comes from her Cleopatra-style hairstyle. She was made as a sultrier alternative to Sally, with her personality taking a lot of influence from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iSpEVxq_GI|Mia from Love Actually]]. Her character Amanda in Golden Years and the whole setup of her invitation to Friday Night Party came from [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkGlMHOoq2M|Nicola Stapleton's appearance on Noel's House Party]], where she was gunged for playing the villainous character Mandy. ==== Relationships ==== * {zchar:miles} - Romantic
