Bluu Zwane, commonly called "Blue" for obvious reasons, is a lizardess who works on {zshow:iz}'s production team. She is in a long-term relationship with the presenter {zchar:alex}, and was the one who encouraged him to audition for the position when the show was first coming together. She put forward the ideas for several of the original games when a small team at {zchannel:wknx} was first designing the show's environment, and became the head of audio/visual editing as the show continued and moved across to {zchannel:sf}.

With Alex's encouragement, she participated in the show early in its second season in {zstory:iz2}, where at its conclusion she became the first contestant to be gunged in her most famous creation [[izgames:The Hotseat]].

The "uu" sound in her real name is pronounced like "you", instead of the "oo" sound in the colour.

==== Influences ====

In {zstory:iz2}, it was mentioned that Blue had a slight Southern accent just to note that she was somehow exotic - Iron-K wrote this unaware that "Southern" is understood by the US to mean something very specific. As a nod to that, her last name was chosen as one of the popular last names in South Africa.
