Dafydd is a black and grey dragon. He is Gwen Sorwen's dad, and the partner of Gwyneth Sorwen. He has a job to do with transportation management at the city council and is very into his work, which can keep him away from the house for many hours in a day - but when Gwen was a child, he always loved being able to loosen up and to play with his growing daughter after he came home, or to take part in her own hobbies and interests when she wanted him to.

Being in a political job, he's a fan of news-comedy panel shows, and watching his favourite with Gwen used to be a large part of their Friday night routine even when she was too young to fully understand them. He would also let her stay up to watch the start of the show immediately after it which had a regular segment where a guest was put in a gunge tank. He could see the young Gwen was fascinated by this even though she was unsure, and would watch it from the floor clinging to his leg.

At some point he and Gwen wrote up a letter to the show, with her describing why they should gunge her dad - the letter was sent but nothing came of it.
